Scrabulous, to be or not to be

More than 13.000 people felt concerned by scrabulous protection, since Mattel and Hasbro, companies that make scrabble, tried to break down the facebook game last Tuesday for “gross copyright and trademark infringement”. A petition has been signed by 13.000 users who want to save their game, one of the ten more used joke on Facebook.

Since its set-up, Scrabulous recruited more than 600 000 daily active users. The new Save Scrabulous group already count up 13 600 members. They threatened Mattel and Hasbro with boycott products if the game disappeared. “This is the best application on Facebook and has brought Scrabble to many people who have never played before whilst allowing friends and family to enjoy the inspite of living far from each other.” Alexandra York wrote.

Lots of people seemed to be hurt by such a decision, while some others died everyday thousands of miles away and will always remain anonymous.
