Two new species of dinosaur’s fossils have been discovered in Sahara desert in Niger, journal Acta Paleontologica Polonica published. “They are the earliest records of both major carnivore groups that would go on dominate Africa, South America and India during the next 50 million years, in the Cretaceous period” Steve Brusatte said,  from University of Bristol. They have been described by paleontologists and researchers from University of Bristol in United States. They were meat- eaters but used different way to kill their preys. First discovery has been called eocarcharia dinops. It hunted its preys, had blade-shaped teeth, and a prominent bony eyebrow ridge. Predators from its group, the carcharodontosaurids, were as big, or bigger than tyrannosaurus rex. Second discovery has been called kryptops palaïos, it was about 8m and sported a short snout with a horny covering. It probably was  an opportunist.

Dr Paul Serano, from the university of Chicago, found two  110-million-years-old carnivorous fossils eight years before in Niger, in the western edge of the Tenere desert.
